The BJR-OV12 olive harvester is a patented tool for harvesting olives with high performance, manageable and light. It allows to develop in a simple and efficient way the collection without the use of stairs. Next we will see all the explanations necessary for the correct use of the machine. Also included are important notes on the safety and usage information of the machine.
✅ Very intensive use
✅ Machine with very high level of reliability
Technical data
- Machine length: 250 cm / With extension: 350 cm
- Weight: 2,0 kg
- Engine: 12 V
- Max power: 270 watt
- Vacuum absorption: 2,5 A
- Vacuum absorption: 2,5 A
- Average absorption at work: 4 / 5 A
- Comb oscillation frequency: 1550 - 1600 / min
- Ideal for not breaking the shoots of the olive trees with the movement of the rods
The combs do not work in parallel, so they work on top of each other and when one goes to the left, the other goes to the right. Made to work with a 60 to 70 A battery due to the minimum consumption of the motor. With a simple car battery you can work practically all day. On the other hand, the other vareadoras that have between 500 - 750 watts must have a much larger battery, which makes the product more expensive. |
Start up
The machine in its standard model is delivered complete with:
- BJR-OV12 vibrator
- 100 protractor cm
- 15 mt power cable with fuses
BJR-OV12 works with a normal car 12V battery. To have an autonomy of a productive day of eight hours, a battery of minimum capacity 60Ah is recommended
Splice the connector of BJR-OV12 with the power cable connector; Use the two cable terminals to connect the battery as follows:
- red terminal to the positive pole (+)
- black terminal to negative pole (-)
Extension joint
- turn off the machine
- loosen the locking crank located at the end of the arm
- remove the inner support tube from the arm
- enter the extension until it stops
- close the lock crank
Security instructions
The user must use BJR-OV12 knowing the security measures according to current regulations. In particular, you must:
- ALWAYS use Protection glasses
- Never use BJR-OV12 in proximity of electric cables
- Do not use BJR-OV12 in case of rain, temporary and therefore always work in dry conditions
- Before from any cleaning or maintenance operation disconnect the electrical part
- After of use, disconnect BJR-OV12 and place it in a dry and cool place
Troubleshooting - Causes
Problem | Possible cause | Get involved |
The machine does not start | The switch has not been pressed. Cables not connected | Repeat the ignition procedure. Check the connections. |
The machine does not start | The polarity in the battery has been reversed | Replace the fuse in the power cable box. connect the battery correctly. |
The machine stops repeatedly at minimum effort | Low battery | Battery charge |
Maintenance
Before any cleaning or maintenance intervention, the user must disconnect the electrical part of the machine to avoid problems.
Maintenance should be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel, using only original spare parts.
To ensure high efficiency maintenance, the user must perform a simple prevention as explained in the following table.
Pos | Components | Intervention | Frequency |
1 | Carbon rods | Check the perfect fit | Diary |
2 | Power cords and connectors | Check your status | Diary |
3 | BJR-OV12 | Cleaning after use | Diary |
NB: Do not use compressed air
Replacing the carbon rods
If the rods are damaged or worn they can be easily replaced as follows:
- Unplug the electrical part
- Unscrew the nut
- Remove the rod
- Introduce the new rod
- Lock the screw again with the nut
Do you know what the difference is between a comb and a hook vareador?
So which one should I choose?Summarizing in a very short way, if what you need is a vareador for long hours of work, many olive trees and that is very practical to carry then you should consider choosing the hook vareador. However, if what you need is a machine that damages the tree as little as possible for a few olive trees, then the answer is a comb.
