Dynapok HBAC Epoxy Coating
High solids, two component epoxy coating catalyzed with mixed polyaminoamide adducts. Cleaning and dissolution with EPOXIC Solvent (D-90).
Preparation
NEW IRON AND STEEL. Abrasive blasting up to grade Sa 2 ½ according to ISO 8501-1. Mill scale, rust and foreign matter will be removed. Any remaining trace of contamination should only show up as small circular spots or stripes. Otherwise, it can be cleaned by manual means using wire brushes, scrapers, prefabricated synthetic fabrics containing abrasives and rust chipping hammers, all according to ISO 8504-3. Apply an antioxidant primer immediately after blasting to prevent any type of contamination. STEEL-IRON PRIMED. Compatible with most types of properly cleaned aged coatings, that is, free of rust, dirt, oil and grease. MAINTENANCE WORKS. Peeling paint coatings will be removed using wire brushes, scrapers, pre-made synthetics containing abrasives, and rust chipping hammers. Subsequently manual degreasing of the surface removing salts and other contaminants with high pressure fresh water. In the case of very deteriorated surfaces, sandblasting to grade Sa 2½ is recommended.
Use
Recommended as an intermediate coat in epoxy and polyurethane systems in environments subjected to aggressive or marine atmospheres.
