Dynapok HB Epoxy Coating
Two-component, high build, epoxy queen based polyamide cured coating. Due to the chosen epoxy and hardener index it has excellent flexibility and toughness that resists abrasion, water, gasoline splashes, lubricating oils and similar products.
Preparation
IRON AND NEW STEEL. Abrasive blasting up to Sa 2 ½ grade according to ISO 8501-1. Mill scale, rust and foreign matter will be removed. Any remaining trace of contamination should only show up as small circular spots or stripes. Subsequently apply a layer of Antioxidant Primer. STEEL-IRON PRIMED. Compatible with most types of properly cleaned aged coatings, i.e. free of rust, dirt, oil and grease. MAINTENANCE WORKS. Peeling paint coatings will be removed using wire brushes, scrapers, pre-made synthetics containing abrasives, and rust chipping hammers. Subsequently, manual degreasing of the surface eliminating salts and other contaminants with high pressure fresh water. In the case of very deteriorated surfaces, sandblasting to grade Sa 2½ is recommended.
Use
Recommended as an intermediate coat in epoxy and polyurethane systems. Micaceous gray has an excellent anchoring base even after several months of application.
